Motovolt Experience Centre
Motovolt makes electric cycles and scooters for India's urban rider, purposeful products with a design sensibility. As the brand prepared to build its retail network across the country, the brief was to create an experience centre grounded in six principles: the product as the primary focal point of the space; a consultative engagement model; walls that carry information as customers move through them; a visual language that is minimal but distinctive; an exterior that reads at urban scale; and a modular spatial system built to hold together across different site conditions.

The pilot is a 550 sq ft store in Kolkata. The facade opens straight onto the street, glazed at human scale so the vehicles are the first thing visible to the passers-by.
The community table, anchored by a screen, sits at the back, the only seating in the store, a place where staff and customers sit down together and figure it out.
The back wall behind it holds the e-cycle and merchandise display. The side walls carry the brand's communication quietly and completely.
A customer who walks the full length of the store and back has moved through the complete brand framework without a single conversation.

The playbook routes any incoming site to the right spatial format, by size, shape, and proportion and then follows that decision all the way through: what to build and in what finish, what the walls carry and how the brand shows up on them, and how the store runs once the last fixture is in place. Every specification comes with a tested alternate, and every rule comes with its reason.
The pilot is the proof of concept. The playbook is what makes it travel.
